Lutron HomeWorks Interactive and Crestron Green Light products make your home's lighting work with your life style, impacting your home's appearance, safety, security and convenience. You have probably consulted a lighting specialist to specify the type of lighting fixtures and bulbs, our job is to make them work for you! A press of a button can welcome you to a well lit home, select a smartly accented dinner party setting or simply turn on all the outside lights when you hear a noise. These settings are referred to as "scenes" which are accessible from keypads, touchscreens or can occur automatically based on the time of day.
Both systems offer local and remote dimming and switching products. Local dimmers and switches are wall mounted and look similar to and operate like a standard light switch. These can be hardwired during new construction or remodeling. We also offer wireless, radio controlled versions for existing homes! Our systems can then "talk" to these smart devices to perform the scenes mentioned above.
Remote dimming and switching is accomplished by hardwiring your lighting circuits to panels that house the dimming and switching modules. These panels are typically located in mechanical rooms. The advantage of this is simple; less wall clutter! Instead of banks of switches that you can't ever remember what does what, you can have one simple keypad that has your light circuits and/or scenes labeled in your own words using plain English! Once you have experienced a system like this, you will wonder how you lived without it! Your designer will love it as it eliminates an eyesore and frees up the wall for other uses.
